Our Mission

Just be.
That’s enough.

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to inspire millions of people to put down their phones, pause, and embrace the gift of literally doing nothing. Sometimes, the most important thing we do each day is what we do before we do anything.

Take seven minutes. Step away from the noise. Just be.

In that quiet, clarity awakens, peace settles in, and your mind and heart reconnect. Silence for Seven guides you to discover the profound power of doing nothing - so that every day begins from stillness, focus, and joy.

Our team comes from all over the country, with a diverse range of professional backgrounds and ages, yet each of us has felt the transformative power of silence in our own busy lives—whether through meditation, prayer, mindfulness, or simply unplugging. We came together to build this platform so that anyone - regardless of who they are - can start to experience the focus, peace, and clarity that just a few minutes of silence each day can bring. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making this practice simple, accessible, and meaningful for as many people as we can.

Through a simple timer, daily quotes, videos, and carefully curated resources - including books, music, podcasts, research, and nature content - we hope to inspire people to slow down, reflect, and reconnect. We do not sell ads or subscriptions. Supported entirely by donations and grants, Silence for Seven exists to help people uncover the profound value of doing nothing before anything, and to guide them toward the quiet joy of connecting deeply with our own being.

Silence for Seven exists to help people uncover the profound value of doing nothing before anything, and to guide them toward the quiet joy of connecting deeply with the beauty and goodness just below the surface of their busy lives
